SAFER Odisha

Climate change intensifies disasters, disproportionately affecting rural Odisha, India. Despite government efforts post-1999 super cyclone, vulnerabilities persist. Our project, "Safeguarding Agriculture from Environmental Risks" (SAFER), led by OSVSWA, addresses rural Odisha's vulnerability. Awareness raising meetings and adaptation workshops empower farmers, bridging the knowledge gap that intensifiy their vulnerability. The Project aimt to breake the ever-intensifying cycle of destruction and rebuilding. To secure Odisha's rural population sustainably, your support is crucial. Help SAFER succeed, and pave the way for similar initiatives in the future. Share and follow SAFER's progress—only together can we illuminate a brighter future for those currently in the shadows.

Having gathered a lot of insights into the community, we wanted our participants to identify the most pressing problems. For them we created a problem tree, diving deep into impacts and causes for the problems. We left with adressable root causes to these problems clearly identified.
